Important Note: We will update this tier list regularly as we progress through the game and discover optimal builds. Remember that having the right team setup makes individual characters shine even further. Raw power matters less than synergy.

Neverness to Everness Best Characters
Sakiri
Sakiri deserves the S+ tier because she provides irreplaceable team utility that no other character offers at launch. Her passive increases the entire team's attack by 30% of her base attack for 20 seconds after casting her ultimate. This makes her the strongest offensive support in the game and essential for maximizing damage during burst windows. Her crowd control capabilities are equally valuable. Tapping her skill (Devour Whole) pulls enemies together and knocks them down. Holding the skill pulls enemies in and levitates them, creating a confined space for AoE damage. This crowd control makes mobbing content significantly easier by grouping scattered enemies into one location.
The standard rotation involves swapping to Sakiri, using her skill to group enemies, ulting for the attack buff, then swapping to your main DPS for amplified damage. She excels in every team composition because attack buffs scale with investment.
Nanally
Nanally offers one of the highest raw damage outputs among characters. Her kit revolves around summoning an Underboss that coordinates follow-up attacks alongside her own strikes. This creates a damage multiplication effect where every attack you land triggers additional damage instances. While Underboss is on the battlefield, her attacks create small pull effects on enemies, which improve her ability to maintain pressure on mobile targets. Stack attack buffs from characters like Sakiri and Nanally's damage output becomes overwhelming. She excels in both single-target boss damage and AoE mob clearing, which makes her versatile across all content types.
Chiz
Chiz earns S+ tier placement because you receive her completely free with all awakening copies as you progress through the story. This makes her accessible to every player regardless of gacha luck. Her unique mechanic ties damage output to your in-game funds, which creates an interesting risk-reward dynamic. Her Grain system requires active management during combat. Basic attacks and skills generate Grain, which increases damage. Her ultimate enters the Grain Market state, where skill timing at peak Grain prices deals maximum damage. She's the best free option in the game by a significant margin. The only drawback I can think of is that she is mechanically a bit complex character, however once you get used to her kit you will see her damage potential.
Remember that tier lists are guidelines, not absolute rules. Player skill, team composition, elemental synergies, and investment levels all play significant roles in how well characters perform. Even lower-tier characters can be effective in the right hands and with proper team support.
