Rewinds the Non-Closed Timepiece pointer continuously during use. Stops recording after the pointer rewinds a certain amount, and continues rewinding a fixed amount if recording completes early. Clears records when entering or leaving battle. Overwrites existing records when using Present Replay again. |
| Ultimate | World's Tide | Has no cooldown or Ultimate Energy cost for World's Tide. Allows Hotori to unleash World's Tide when Non-Closed Timepiece energy is fully charged, dealing 10 instances of Cosmos DMG to an area. Draws a katana from the umbrella handle and changes attack mode. Slows surrounding time to near standstill for a period, disabling character switching. Cleanses any received time control debuffs and grants immunity to time control debuffs during Time Stop. Replays all attacks recorded by Present Replay 1 time and clears the records if any exist. Rewinds the Non-Closed Timepiece pointer continuously during Time Stop. Builds combo stacks with Hotori's katana attacks, increasing damage per hit. Deals Finisher DMG when combo stacks reach 10. | Support Skill | Frozen Snow Ritual | Let the snow fall slower still. Activates time manipulation when Hotori is outside of battle and the Non-Closed Timepiece has accumulated energy greater than 0. Slows the flow of time while holding Basic Attack, causing the surrounding time to approach a standstill. Removes any received time control debuffs and grants immunity to time control debuffs during Time Stop. Rewinds the Non-Closed Timepiece pointer continuously during Time Stop. Best Arcs for Hotori

Marching Beyond Time (Best Overall)
Hotori’s strongest Arc, built around maximizing her Ultimate damage. To unlock its full potential, use three redirect or support skills before casting her Ultimate to gain the DEF ignore bonus. This setup greatly boosts her burst damage.
Fluff of Fearlessness (Strong Alternative)
A solid S-rank option that increases ATK after using her Ultimate while also granting CRIT Rate. This improves both the initial burst and the short damage window that follows, making her Ultimate hit much harder overall.
The Forgotten (Best A-Rank)
Her only reliable A-rank choice. It offers a steady ATK boost, as long as Hotori stays above 50% HP. While it lacks the extra effects of higher-tier Arcs, it still provides consistent damage output.
Best Cartridges and Modules for Hotori

Lost Radiance is Hotori’s best cartridge, built to maximize her Ultimate damage. The 2-piece effect increases Cosmos DMG, while the main effect lets her ignore a large portion of enemy DEF after using her Ultimate, perfectly matching her burst-focused playstyle.
This also stacks well with her best Arc, making her Ultimate hit even harder. If Hotori is awakened to A6, the extra DEF ignore becomes even more powerful, allowing her to shred through enemies with massive burst damage.

How to Play Hotori in NTE?
Hotori is a technical burst DPS who revolves around storing energy, recording ally skills, and unleashing everything at once during her Ultimate.
Her gameplay centers on managing her unique resource, the Non-Closed Timepiece, which gradually charges while she stays on the field. Building this energy is the first step before she can fully begin her combo rotation.
Once her energy passes a certain point, she can activate her Redirect Skill, Present Replay, to enter an observation state. During this period, she records up to three Support or Redirect Skills used by allies. Because of this, Hotori works best alongside teammates with strong utility or damaging skills that can be replayed later for extra value.
When her energy reaches maximum, she can activate her Ultimate, World’s Tide. This ability stops time for several seconds while replaying all previously recorded ally skills at once, creating a huge burst damage window.
During the time-stop effect, Hotori builds stacks through her katana attacks, and once she reaches maximum stacks, she delivers a powerful finishing strike that deals massive Ultimate damage.
Her time-stop mechanic also gives her unique value in timed content such as the Pink Paws Heist, since it can effectively pause combat timers and create extra room to finish objectives.
Overall, her rotation is about building energy, recording powerful ally skills, then activating her Ultimate to overwhelm enemies with stacked burst damage and coordinated skill replays.
